An online vision exam is a convenient and affordable way to renew your contact lens or glasses prescription from home. No appointments necessary.
While an average, in-office comprehensive eye exam elsewhere costs $150 on average, our “just-renew-my-prescription” online eye exam is just $20. That’s worth a surprise double-take.
A comprehensive eye exam at your eye doctor usually takes an hour plus driving time. Our online vision exam takes only 10 minutes to complete, and you can expect results usually around two business hours. (And no driving required.)

It’s usually a good idea to get a comprehensive eye exam every one to two years, depending on your overall health. But if you want to change contact brands or renew an expired prescription without another trip to the eye doctor, you may be able to take a vision exam online.
Vision insurance usually covers one regular, in-network visit with your eye care provider per year (costs $150 on average). You may need to pay an additional copay depending on your insurance plan. Many insurance providers also cover the cost of an online vision exam. (And if not, ours is only $20.)
Currently, our ExpressExam costs $20. The total cost of most standard, comprehensive online eye exams with fitting is $150 ($100 for the exam and $50 for the fitting) on average.

Currently, you cannot use ExpressExam as your online eye exam in Delaware, Hawaii, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, South Carolina, South Dakota, West Virginia, or the U.S. Territories.
